Kaptanoğlu Denizcilik ve Nakliyat Şirketine ait 11 bin 965 GRT'luk TARA KAPTANOĞLU isimli Türk bayraklı dökme yük gemisi Portekiz'in Lizbon Limanı'nda 7 gün tutuklu kaldı.
TARA KAPTANOGLU'nun tutulamsı ile birlikte, Avrupa Limanlarında 2007 yılının ilk dokuz ayında tutulan Türk bayraklı gemi 29 olurken, tutulma sayısı 30'a yükseldi.
Eylül ayında Avrupa limanlarında 15 Türk bayraklı gemi kontrole tabi tutulurken, 3 tanesi eylül ayının ilk 15 gününde, Paris MoU çerçevesinde eksikliklerden dolayı tutuldu.
2007'nin başından bu güne kadar Avrupa limanlarında kontrole tabi tutulan Türk bayraklı gemi sayısı 424 olurken, bunların 29 tanesi tutuldu. Tutulan gemilerden bir tanesi ise 2 kez tutularak tutulma sayısı 30'a çıkardı.
